My love affair with Steve Madden started when I got my first pair a few months ago. It was literally all I wanted to wear. Nothing else seemed to go with my daily outfits. My feet just wanted to be adorned in those Cognac Marlenees. Even when the cold took over the air surrounding me, I made my toes bear the chill until it could no more.

So imagine my excitement when I was announced as the winner of a R1000, 00 voucher to spend at Steve Madden. It's hard to believe that it took me several weeks to actually spend it. But I wanted to take my time and wait for the new season's stock to haul in. So when it did, I merrily made my way. When I entered the store, I didn't know where to begin. I felt like a kid entering a Candy Store. I wanted to try on every shoe I laid my eyes on. I am a high heels girl yet I found myself looking at flats because even those were so appealing by design,

Strappy designs, cut-outs and gladiators were prevalent and I eventually narrowed it down to two pairs. A wedge and stiletto heel. It was so hard to choose but I ended up going for the nudes in the picture above. It is the Maarla in Natural Multi. It also comes in black.

But here's all the beauties I passed up.
