Last month, online boutique Spree, gave us a preview of it's Autumn | Winter 2015 collection. I arrived a little late due to the Bronx Woman event that took place on the same evening, but was happy that I still got to see what they have in store for the oh so chilly days that have just about made it's way to us.
Sophisticated and classy, the event was nothing short of stylish. About 400 guests viewed the spectacular range that was donned on models posing as mannequins. Cool concept right!
"The essence of this winter's fashion lies in enveloping yourself in cozy layers, blanket capes and large, snug coats. The shapes are forward-thinking but the mood is nostalgic,"
- Spree fashion director Chris Viljoen.
The event introduced the three new designer's to join Spree and they are Gavin Rajah, Isabel de Villiers and Jenny le Roux. Their work was displayed on the ground floor of the 117 year old Herbert Baker-designed building, while every other range was showcased on different floors, as they wanted the presentation to be magazine-like in it's look and feel. Reason for this being the launch of Spree's new digital Magazine in February. It is a first for South Africa, as it is a clickable online magazine and every item can be purchased.
I am personally not a fan of Winter and if I could, I'd just walk around in a thick gown. A really thick gown lol! But if there's one thing that can get me excited to go anywhere when it's cold, it's dressing up. Exciting colours, prints and shapes makes the collection at Spree one to add to your autumn and winter wardrobe.

Have a great day, or night, wherever you are!
