On Thursday I attended the last of the four KFM and 4th Street Wine Summer Sessions, held at Buena Vista in Somerset West. After missing the one in Camp's Bay, I simply had to make sure of my attendance at this one. After all, KFM is one of my favorite radio stations and I needed a relaxed evening out after the past few weeks which seemed to have been the busiest of 2014. I seriously can't believe the year is at it's end. Wow. Anyhoo, another reason I simply had to attend this session was because Kahn Morbee, lead singer of one of SA's hottest bands, The Parlotones, was performing live. Who can resist the opportunity of listening to the smooth sounds of Kahn's voice live.
I last had the pleasure of watching The Parlotones live a couple of years ago in San Diego:
The ambiance was enjoyable and relaxed, and the decor was oh so beautiful and pretty in pink. I had my first taste of 4th Street wine and it is certainly one of the best, if not thee best, tasting wines for me. Delightfully sweet, lightly sparkled and smooth. One can hardly taste any alcohol and that is jus how I like it! It will definitely be my first choice in wine from now on!
At the end of it all, I left feeling wonderfully relaxed and happy with 4 copiess of Kahn Morbee's new album SALT, which will only be available for purchase in February 2015. It's up for grabs on my Facebook Page if you would like to stand a chance of winning one.
